We’ve lost another giant of the Civil Rights Movement.
The Rev. Dr. Ed King died Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Jackson. I was honored to
meet him in September 2019 when he visited the Wilkinson County Correctional
Facility in Woodville, where I served as chaplain. We were hosting a special
visit by Joan Trumpauer Mulholland and Loki during a celebration of Anne
Moody’s birthday.
