I recently attended the 3rd Annual U.S. Civil Rights Trail Connectivity Conference, held October 26–28, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee. It was a memorable experience!
One of the highlights was spending time with Reena Evers-Everette, daughter of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers. In this photo, we are pictured in front of the historic Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. The site is now home to the National Civil Rights Museum.
Reena is truly a wonderful person, and I enjoyed the opportunity to visit with her!
