This Day in Anne Moody History - February 3

On Feb. 3, 1911, Violet Jefferson Graves (Miss Pearl), step-grandmother of Anne Moody, was born. Miss Pearl was the mother of Raymond in Moody's book, Coming of Age in Mississippi. Moody was a civil rights pioneer. Her book was published in 1968. She died in 2015.
