NATCHEZ, Miss. -- NAPAC Museum will host a free showing
of the documentary, “Six Triple Eight” (2019), and a meeting with its director,
James William Theres, at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at 301 Main St., Natchez.
The documentary is about the only all-black female battalion to serve in Europe
during World War II. It tells the story of the 855 Black women of
the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion who cleared a
three-year backlog of undelivered mail. They helped to deliver more than 17
million pieces of mail near the end of the war. For more information, call
